Stress is the “dis-ease” of the 21st century – right? Almost everybody today is stressed! Stress is so common now, especially during Covid lockdowns with all their economic uncertainty. And did you know that you can end up feeling stressed by being in contact with others in your life who are stressed?
Stress is a natural protective mechanism designed to enable us to survive in emergencies. The problem arises when we remain stressed for long periods. You may end up suffering from insomnia, high blood pressure, tension headaches and/or digestive problems.
Other possible side effects include a weakened immune response, reduced mental and emotional capacities, and faster aging. Prolonged stress has a lot of very negative consequences for our health.
Anxiety, which is usually based around fear of future events, produces very similar effects in the body, and so both are treated similarly from an energy healing perspective.
