Reiki

What is it?

Reiki is a gentle, hands-on energy healing method that works with universal life force energy, known as chi or prana in Eastern traditions, for the purpose of healing and relaxation.

How does it work?

Reiki is a safe, non-invasive hands-on technique that works with the unseen life force energies that exist in all living beings. Our body is alive with life force, or chi, and it is surrounded by a field of this energy, called the aura.

Life force energy flows through the body, nourishing the cells and organs, and supporting them in their vital functions. However, these energy flows can become disrupted or blocked due to many factors, from our thought and belief patterns to our environment. These disrupted energy patterns may then, in turn, cause diminished functioning of cells, tissues or organs in the body.

Reiki heals by flowing life force through the affected parts of the body and energy field, correcting disrupted energy flows, healing the body and balancing the energies. A treatment leaves you feeling relaxed and peaceful, yet more alive and with a feeling of enhanced wellbeing.

Reiki has enormous benefits, including:

  • Deep relaxation and relief from stress

  • Increased energy and wellbeing

  • Strengthening the immune system

  • Speeding up healing after injury or surgery

  • Improved mental clarity

  • Emotional balance, bringing increased peace and calm

  • Support for, and acceleration of, personal growth

Who does it help?

Reiki can relieve or alleviate many physical, emotional or mental conditions, including the following:

  • Low or depleted energy

  • Stress and tension

  • Insomnia and depression

  • Flu, colds and feeling rundown

  • Headaches and sinus conditions

  • Neck, shoulder, back and joint pain

  • Poor concentration and mental alertness

  • PMT

What are the results & timeframes?

You can expect to feel an improvement after a single treatment, but the body can easily revert to habitual energy patterns. Therefore, for anything other than mild acute conditions, further treatments are recommended.
